Hello my summer-loving beauties! My apologies for the delay in posts, I took a little break from writing since business picked up but I’m learning to multi-task! By now, everyone knows how to spot-clean and deep-clean their makeup brushes. If you missed the memo, click HERE to watch the tutorial. I did however, realize that I haven’t shared with you my recommendations for brush cleaner, so here they are:
Parian Spirit is hands down my favorite brush cleaner, and what’s more, it’s environmentally friendly! The all-natural formula is made from citrus spirits and food grade solvents, giving it powerful cleaning properties to clean, condition and disinfect any brush. What I’m particularly impressed with is that it dissolves all types of makeup products including lash adhesives and sticky lipsticks and gloss! As a makeup artist, I used to spend HOURS trying to get lipsticks and glosses out of my lip brushes. Not anymore with Parian Spirit!
MAC Brush Cleanser: $14 (7.9 oz)
MAC’s Brush Cleanser is something I’ve used for years and it always does the job. It cleans, disinfects and conditions your brushes all at once. It dries in seconds when your spot-clean on a paper towel, allowing you to use the brush right away. I love deep cleaning my brushes with a little squirt of this mixed with shampoo in warm water!
Cinema Secrets Professional Brush Cleaner: $24 (8 oz)
Cinema Secrets Professional Brush Cleaner is also a reliable cleanser that is known for its bright blue color and vanilla scent. This one removes 99.9% of bacteria while also conditioning your brushes. Since it’s a little on the pricier side, I like to dilute this with water to make it last longer.
Let me know if you try any of these cleansers! Are there ones you like that I didn’t mention? Leave me a comment below, I love learning about new products.
