It’s wedding-recap time! This past June, I had the opportunity to do the makeup for seven bridesmaids and the bride herself, Mrs. Melanie Butters. Because it was such a large party, I called in my most trusted makeup artist pal to help me beautify these babes, Allyson Stagg of The Las Vegas Style Sirens.
Look at that stunning ring!
Here I am putting the finishing touches on the bride-to-be
Melanie and her girls got ready at her twin sister Nikki’s house, which had great natural lighting and lots of room for our massive kits.
Melanie wore a cathedral-style veil which made taking photos even more fun and creative.
My favorite part of weddings are always the gaggle of flowers girls! So cute.
I grew up going to Armenian Orthodox churches, which are identical to the Greek ones. So much architecture and beauty. With the bride’s Greek heritage, I’m sure St. Nicholas church felt right at home.
A sweet moment between Melanie and Andrew before the big party started.
Let’s face it. This is hands-down the best bridal party photo ever taken. These girls were so much fun to get ready in the morning and as you can see their carried on with their mischief right through the day!
Looks like an epic party to me! I love Greek weddings…complete with the traditional circle dances.
Congratulations to the bride and groom! I look forward to beautifying these ladies next year when Nikki, Melanie’s twin sister gets married in November 2015!

Hi Beauties,
I spent yesterday’s gloomy Sunday afternoon uploading and editing my latest for Youtube: my nightly skin care routine. I’ve done dozens of makeup tutorials, but I’ve never showed you how to properly remove everything. WARNING: You will be exposed to my bald, makeup-free face! Ha ha ha.
Below is a list of my go-to products that I use in the video.
Towel: for steaming up your face before washing
Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel- This takes the place of your regular face soap. It doesn’t lather up too much, so it takes some getting used to but it does a great job of cleansing the skin without stripping it dry.
Boscia Cleansing Sponge w/ Bamboo Charcoal — You can also substitute this with cheaper dupes found on Amazon!
La Fresh Waterproof Makeup Remover Wipes: These are great on the go or if you are short on time. They are oil-based wipes that will break down all your makeup, including waterproof and smudge proof cosmetics. Some nights I will use one of these before I jump in the shower. I use the Boscia face wash products while I’m in the shower to help open my pores from the steam. These wipes are often on sale on Hautelook, so keep an eye out!
MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover: The purple bottle is a super soothing formula made with cucumber to help de-puff and soothe skin after a long day of wearing drag queen-worthy makeup. Super gentle and great for sensitive eyes as well.
MAC Cleanse-Off Oil: I use a few drops of this on a cotton ball to start off my nightly routine. I prefer this method to the wipes because of how quickly the makeup breaks down but it is more time-consuming.
Have you tried any of my techniques? What about going forward? Which product are you down to try? Let me know in the comments below!
