Hi beauty lovers,
Today I want to talk to you about something very near and dear to my heart.
WHO: The Rescue Train is an amazing no-kill Los Angeles-based dog and cat rescue group that I volunteer for. You may recall seeing the beautiful kitties and pups I’ve posted on my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter from this organization. This group of people do so much for the animals of Southern California- from pulling animals on “death row” at shelters to finding foster families and loving homes, it takes a LOT of funds to keep The Rescue Train going. Not only do they spay/neuter and vaccinate each and every pet, but they also take on the costs for all major surgeries and illnesses to make sure their animals are healthy before each adoption. As if that wasn’t enough, The Rescue Train also takes the time and money to train each animal to behave properly before handing them off to loving families.
WHAT: Now that you know what they are all about, I am excited to share with you that Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills, along with the good people over at WeHeartThis.com will be having a fundraiser this weekend to benefit the animals on The Rescue Train!
WHEN: Sunday, February 10th from 11am to 3pm at Cristophe Salon at 348 N Beverly Dr Beverly Hills, CA 90210
CALL for an appointment: (310) 274-0851
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: Cristophe will be offering deep discounts on salon services and donating 50% of the proceeds to the Rescue Train. Click HERE for a list of services. It doesn’t end there. There will also be a raffle of beauty prizes and gift bags worth anywhere from $200-$5,000! Just FYI, you don’t have to book an appointment to attend.
ADDED BONUS: The Rescue Train is bringing along some of their smaller friends to join the party. Come meet little angels like the ones below:
Meet Buzz, the cutest dachsund on the West Coast, he loves to snuggle!
Here’s happy Harlow, a maltese mix with a lot of personality!
I really hope to see you guys there. Leave me a comment below if you think you’ll be there, I’d love to say hello!
If you live in the Los Angeles area I have some exciting news. Leading Lady Makeup will be a part of a high-end bridal show this weekend!
As a recent bride myself, I found it very helpful to go to bridal shows. I got a lot of ideas for my wedding simply by the look of vendors’ booths. I took pictures of everything I liked, from flowers to cake design and combined with my Pinterest pins, my wedding was executed just the way I wanted. Not to mention I took a million photos with my girlfriends and sister in all the photo booths!
Even if you already have most of your vendors booked, this is a fantastic place to be a bride. You get a ton of free stuff and get to taste yummy cakes all day long. Everyone loves you! You will be beaming from ear to ear. It’s even more fun when you bring your girlfriends. Don’t even get me started on the Lovella by Ines Di Santo fashion show (designer of my own bridal gown) or the giveaways!
I wasn’t always a fan of doing booths at bridal shows, but I decided to be a part of I Do! because of their amazing vendor list and beautiful location- the Langham in Pasadena. These vendors are top notch. I’ve met and used many for my own wedding and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work. Even if you are a bride on a budget, these vendors are always willing to work with you and are truly some of the nicest people. Click here to check out who will be there!
Now for the deets:
If you are recently engaged or know someone who is, I highly recommend stopping by. Don’t feel pressured if you have never been to one before: this bridal show is a great place to network with wedding vendors and get a feel for what you want. And to get EXCITED for your big day!
Normally, tickets for “I Do!” go for $20/each but I still have a few left I can give out free of charge. Contact me with a comment below for free tickets to this bridal show!
